It was discussed to clear the 4 corners of trees (pine) that block the view of traffic coming west. Also, there are new red lights that activate when a car is approaching the intersection. There was also discussion of one street light being installed at the corner of Howard and Hockaday Road.

Kevin is going to get a bid to remove a tree at the cemetery and trimming of hall trees.

Lengthy discussion on the harvesting of the pine trees on the township property. Kevin VanTiem, Ed Schroeder and Ron Brabon meant with Todd Johnson from Bid Rapids, on April 11th at 9am. He would map the entire area, lump sum sealed bid 20% commission on the sale of the timber. There is 15-20 acres we cannot get to. The Drain Commissioner would exempt fees for a tube. Terry Loomis out of Clare would charge $1600 management plan 10% commission. He didn’t come and meet or give any information. Red pine does not regenerate, white pines does.
